GCCC works @ Outlook – March 9th-20th

Hey all, just in from the GCCC, wild dog control measures about to start at the Outlook and which require the park to be closed down for just over a week to the public. If you have any questions, click on the contact us page and shoot us a message!

Get out there and throw some dust!
Cheers guys!

Hi Neil,

Hope all is well with you. Just letting you know we are going to trap for wild dogs in the park from Monday 9th – 20th Mar. Signs will be placed on the gates and no access will be possible for this period. Would you mind passing the message on to all Outlook Riders please and my apologies for the late notice.

Cheers Brett Galloway

Tuesday at the farm.

So, after putting it out there to get some help, Troy, Paul, Daniel and Andrew showed up.

Thanks for all the help out there today guys, truly awesome and massive thanks to Bob for the shuttle pig. What was even better, Troy rocks up on a 29’er. What followed was some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen for a while. Not only did he get loose on the rock chute….but top to bottom, one of the hairiest if not the most sketchy, ride I’ve seen hahaa Good fun lads, vid below!

Top 4 out for a few days.

Hey guys and girls.

You may have seen the post, but the hard work by some gets ruined by a few and sets us a back a bit. Shane has been working on the top line to get things in mint condition, but someone felt the need(even after a closing it off) for a few runs and basically put a spanner in the works.

Please guys, stay off the top four until Shane updates us all on it!

Cheers

Update on Boomerang Farm

As many may know, ORA is currently discussing several key points at Boomerang Farm with the owners and the Div 9 Councilor for the GCCC. We are very pleased to inform everyone, that the Farm will resume regular riding on Sat. July 12th.

We are still on the negotiating table with the above mentioned parties and expect to have something permanent on the table in approx 10 days.
Just so everyone knows, no track work is to take place of any type, absolutely nothing of any kind. I quite simply cant stress this point enough. The reason for that will be explained at a meeting next week.

We will be planning a meeting open to all club members to attend late next week to openly discuss/form/action ideas and answer any questions. If you want to have a say in what goes on in the future, please come on down and have your say. Date time posted tomorrow as soon as we know(expect am). An event will be created here on Facebook!

Cheers.

Stay tuned.

Rails, bails and a few ales!

Only a few riders hit the top four today, plenty of people watching and getting stoked! Was a great chance for the local hospital to practice their stitch work thanks to the 1st, the Baron got a new pair of eyebrows on the 4th and Travis was killing it in “Bay 13”! Milo found Nic sitting down the bottom of the hill drinking all of the ale’s by himself. Wonders will never cease at the Outlook!

Few pics below, if you guys want the hi-res ones…..just holler!

Important notice!

Hey all. Important news, please read!

No digging/riding on at Boomerang this weekend!

Boomerang Farm is off limits up until an important meeting is held with the owners and the local councilor. It’s crucial that everyone adheres to this request as further planning and GCCC consultation is required after holding such a big event, an update will follow soon.

Once again, no access until further notice, if you are seen doing so by the farm staff you will be jeopardizing key negotiations to the clubs future there.

Thanks

Outlook’s Freeride dig/ride day, Sunday 22nd June

Well, couldn’t ask for a better day for it!

Sun kept us warm, ground was dry but rain the previous night left it pretty easy to tap into. With a small army, the lads got moving with Milo taking a crew walkabout (to the wrong berms) and Mitch getting some much needed help getting the jump sorted, Nick followed up with some dirt artistry. Aaron and Ken got stuck into clearing a line Shane had previously marked out and we also met some new faces today, Elliot and Tony.

Great result for a small team, appreciate every moment of these guys help. Bob, Peter, Ken, Elliot, Mitch, Nick, Aaron(Azza), Simon(now known as Zoolander) and “The Baron” Carl. Thanks lads!

Pics below, feel free to save/use for FB.
