Small crew, big job. Today at Boomerang Farm.

With a small group of guys rolling in, early-birds Shane and Mitch had both set the scene for today’s dig.The work was carried out on the lower g-out area to prepare it for a bridge. The first two post’s were set in two weeks ago by Shane(others?) and Milo had dug out the other two post holes midweek but had hit rock requiring some dowels to be plugged in. Shane got them sorted and now it go time for the gang!

The action plan was simple, make a solid first abutment and create a rock anchor to support the last two post’s. Aaron, Chris, Peter, John, Daina, Reece and Bob got to task and it wasn’t long before the “lumberjacks” Peter and John had rustled up plenty of logs laying littered around the farm. While the crew were getting that sorted, Mitch started fine tuning the 40/50 and Milo got moving on the rock supports. It wasn’t long after Lenskwa and Arch showed up….soon to be followed by Carl(who had just down a drunken half marathon that morning haha).

All in all, a big effort from the gang there today…..had some laughs and got a few rides in. Thanks to everyone for digging in!
